How can we help?

Visiting the sick at home or hospital

Our pastoral care for people who are ill, both short and long term, is of great importance to us. We offer communion at home each month to anyone who is too unwell to attend church and who wishes home communion. But we also visit anyone in our parish, whether or not they are or have been regular members of one of our churches. The best thing is to call a member of the clergy or the parish office to arrange a home visit. Each of our congregations is genuinely welcoming and supportive and the pastoral care each provides is of great value.

A ‘Drop in’ group ‘Stepping Stones’ offers support in times of change, either bereavement or any significant change in life. You are invited to meet others in similar situations. Just come along – drop in – between 2 – 4 pm on first Friday of each month at St Mary’s Church Hall. Tea is always available.  Members of the team are able to give information and one-to-one support if wished. The drop in Sessions are confidential and the privacy of those attending is respected.
